UK PAS 8855 Specifies Performance Requirements For Vape Products
The British standards has recently published PAS 8855 which regulates vaping products and vaping devices -quality, safety and performance issues.
This UK PAS 8855 covers:
- The components and materials used to manufacture e-cigarette products.
- Compliance of electronic components with relevant safety standards.
- Manufacturing and product traceability.
- Stability of the e-cigarette product.
- Chemical analysis of the characteristics of the base material.
- Smoke emission issues for e-cigarette products.
This UK PAS 8855 establishes quantitative criteria for establishing guidance thresholds for toxicologically relevant analytes in emissions. Compliance with this PAS does not imply a reduced risk profile for the vaping system as compared to smoking, nor does it provide a method for assessing health risks or potentially reducing health risks from the vaping system.
This UK PAS is intended for use by manufacturers of vaping products and vaping devices. Other organizations may also benefit from this PAS, such as trade associations, regulatory enforcement agencies, local councils, or importers. This PAS does not include any products containing tobacco, nor does it include nicotine-free products containing cannabidiol.
Note: British Standards remains technology neutral through its requirements for manufacturers. This means that products that fall into the category of vaping products with vaping devices, as defined in PAS 8855, meet the requirements regardless of their specific design or technology. In this way, PAS aims to avoid limiting product innovation and emerging technologies
China has many electronic cigarette manufacturers, there are many brands that sell well abroad, the quality level is also different, the safety of e-cigarettes has also caused widespread concern in the community. Shenzhen Joymy Technology Co., Ltd. is a very promising brand for the strict production of product quality, the use of safe batteries and high quality vaping oil. Consumption in the choice of electronic cigarettes, to choose the regular manufacturers of electronic cigarettes.
What are the e-cigarette laws in the UK? E-cigarettes can legally exist in public places: clarify the use and rules for e-cigarettes. Laws on vaping are changing, and will likely continue to change.
The UK has limits on the volume of e-liquid. In the UK, no user is allowed to have a refillable e-cigarette tank larger than 2 ml. While this significantly limits the amount of e-liquid contained in a reusable e-cigarette at any one time, single-use e-cigarettes are still an issue.
This could have a considerable impact on e-cigarette users across the UK. They are now having to refill their tanks more frequently and carry their e-cigarette juice with them. Opponents of this move apparently believe that this particular step could discourage e-cigarette smoking as users will have to go through more hassle. This step has only been taken in the UK.
